About

"Once upon a time, there was a single chicken egg. It sat still, a perfect form without imperfections, waiting for the day it would hatch. However, that day never seemed to arrive. Day after day, it kept waiting.

And then Riyoku noticed the expiration date and cooked it and ate it."

Between Reason and Rhyme (also affectionately dubbed 'Cleaverpanda') is intended to mesh photoshop techniques, tutorials and endeavors with a slice of life (or lack of life orz ,) and meant to be used as both a resource and as a point of networking. I am far from where my ideal is in graphic design and illustration and would like as much help as I am giving out, if not more. Feel free to ask me questions, give me advice, or simply comment to keep the blog alive (ahahaha.) Regardless, your presence here will (almost always) be welcome!

I am a fourth-year student at the University of Wisconsin -- Madison, where I study Chinese and Strategic Communication.
I enjoy digital art as a hobby as well as a side-job, and feel the need to throw out so-called trade-secrets at uninterested strangers in order to establish my already rampant spontaneity.
My constant lament is my inability to play video games properly due to the lack of any practice in childhood with the field-specific coordinations; or in simple terms, I never played them as a kid so I suck. Please teach me!
After watching four years of anime, I woke up one morning to the realization I could somehow speak broken but coherent Japanese. I've been randomly bursting out in Japanese ever since, often using quotes that are terribly awkward out of context.
I like to write, read, draw, play piano, sing (eep, oh dear,) and observe other people playing games.
I support the freedom to marry whoever a person wants to marry. Personally, I am in a deep and torpid romance with my Wacom Bamboo Fun graphics tablet.
Despite past lessons, I discover that I can't stop attempting every idea that pops up in my head. As a result, I have a million unfinished projects.
 I am a very serious person. Trolololololololo~
I wonder how my future employers will feel looking at this after getting it off my resume. At the very least, would I be hired for my over-the-top-like-a-baker-or-toy-store layout?
And finally, I love to work together with people in order to create interesting projects. Finding a group with synergy is often hard so I'm always willing to get to know random strangers. There are times when I just don't feel the right vibe and I appear a little unfriendly, but I will always do my best to be honest about how I feel, even if I don't know how I feel. I hope to work together with you someday!

You can find me in any of the following. I may not be as active on them but give me a nudge and I'll be sure to get back to you on it.
